The river Salat at St. Girons
After yesterday’s efforts today was another rest day, and we spent the morning in St. Girons. St. G turned out to be unremarkable apart from the bridges over the Salat river, so we moved on to the ski resort of Guzet, which was as ghostly as most ski resorts are in summer. The highlight of the morning was a biche (a doe deer) which skipped across the road in front of us.
As a rest day, it was a good pick. It was the only cloudy day we had. I spent the rest of the day in bed with a headache and a sore knee while Mr DV did the laundry – just like this:
