A Song a Day – Day 265

This is a horoscope originally authored by Chr...

Written in the stars?

Day 265 means that there are 100 days left in the year. Time is speeding up again 🙂

I’ve read horoscopes regularly for a long time now, and I’ve come to realise that it’s not horoscopes you read, it’s the astrologer. Each astrologer has basically the same message for everyone every day. It’s only the astrologer that changes, not the horoscope.

This probably sounds a bit odd, so here’s some examples. (World renowned astrologer!) Shelley von Strunckel usually says something along the lines of ‘things are changing, take this time to learn everything you can about the situation before taking action’. On the other hand Susan Miller will tell you in exhausting detail specifically where things haven’t been so good in your life, and that all this about to change. Jonathan Cainer takes the same, ‘things have been bad, but they’re about to get better’  tack, in more general terms. But the predictions I like best come from doom-monger Steve Judd, who doesn’t spend much time on the fence, and every so often predicts the end of the world as we know it. Yesterday he said this:

I had a revelation yesterday whilst reading for a client, about the current and increasing spate of headaches that myself, some people I know and lots of you seem to be getting over the last week or so.  Normally I think that this phenomena is the forewarning of some large scale geophysical event, and the way this year has gone so far another shocker is on the cards.

He’s not completely barmy. He came close to predicting the earthquake in Japan and the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster earlier this year (see his post of 23rd February 2011 – the earthquake happened on 11th March). Take cover!

Song of the day

I can’t believe I’m this far through the year and haven’t posted anything by Sade. I’ll fix that now. Today’s tune is Jezebel, by the lovely Sade.
