A Song a Day – Day 252

The morning after the day before. Oof. Not too sore, but tired legs. Today was a take it easy kind of day and our ambitions were modest – something easy, somewhere close. Something easy, somewhere close turned out to be the plateau de Coumebière which is half way up to the Etang du Garbet (the pink line on the map).

Our Walks: Yellow = Cascade d'Ars, Pink = Etang du Garbet, Orange = Pic rouge de Bassiès

At this point my weary legs could carry me no further.  The rest of the gloriously sunny afternoon was spent picnicking on the bank of the mountain stream and trying to take a dip in the painfully cold water. Just what the doctor ordered!

Down to the river

I’m not sure Bruce Springsteen’s river is too much like our mountain stream, but it’s good enough for me!
