Day three of holidays. As usual, the day began and ended with yoga, and in between there was a walk. Today’s walk, I have to confess, was pretty dull as walks go; I was looking for something not too long and not too hard, and I found it. What I really did enjoy, however, was walking through agricultural land. The difference in the landscape between where I live (south-east France) and here (south-west France) is amazing. It’s so much softer, greener and more fertile here. There are cows and arable crops. It could be England on a good day in summer. You don’t see that in the south-east. Instead, there are goats, olive trees and lots and lots of rock.
All this lush greenery makes me nostalgic. Which brings us nicely to today’s tune: Tom Jones, with The Green, Green Grass of Home.
